He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Conrad Schafer, Jr. and Marie Schafer; his brother-in-law Tom Braden; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Jacqueline Braden.
He is survived by: his spouse Sandy Schafer; his son Jason Conrad Schafer of Lakewood; his grandchildren, Alex Schafer, Zachary Mitchell, Ashton Mitchell and Lily Holcak; and his siblings, Gail Mason (Rich), Cindy Sax (Sam) and Mark Schafer (Kelly).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre (325 Demaree Dr, Madison, IN 47250). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
