It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe Day of Austin, Indiana, who passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Otto Day and Gladys Day (Vanscoy); and his sister Louise Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Debra Kay Day (Lewis); his son Joseph Shawn Day (Lisa) of Greenwood, Indiana; his stepchildren, Roy Barrett of Scottsburg, Indiana and Janis Barrett-Claxton (Aaron) of Morristown, Tennessee.; and his grandchildren, Joseph Shawn Day, Jr. and Shana Day of North Vernon. He is also survived by seven step-grandchildren, as well as several step-great-grandchildren.
