She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Nicholas and Hazel Marie Nicholas (Jester); her husband Sammy L. Ridener; and her son Thomas Jeffrey "TJ" Richey. She is survived by: her son Greg Richey of Scottsburg, Indiana; and her siblings, Ron Nicholas of Scottsburg, Indiana, Joyce Ward of Austin and Brenda Collings of Hanover, Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home (465 W McClain Ave, Scottsburg, IN 47170). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations can be made in Linda's name to the Scottsburg American Legion post #234 in c/o Collins Funeral Home.
