We are sad to announce that, on November 2, 2025, at the age of 82, James Allen Rodenbeck of Avilla, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Rodenbeck and Mary Rodenbeck (Gamble); his stepfather Loren Freck (Steve); and his daughters, Jill Rodenbeck and Rachel Rodenbeck (Schenher).
He is survived by: his wife Gail Rodenbeck (Thompson); his sister Joyce Young (Merle); and his children, Marvin Rodenbeck (Renee), Bret Rodenbeck (Deanna) and Carla Butler (Scott).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to The Apple Tree Center (for community meals) or Fairview Fellowship Church.
