She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlie "Ikey" Nikirk and Ilene Goodin Nikirk; her brothers, Carl David Nikirk, Bob Nikirk and Gene Nikirk; her brother-in-law Layne Holmes; and her granddaughter Alora Reed.
She is survived by: her husband Carl Dean Holmes; her children, Terry Holmes (Dana), David Holmes (Crystal), Jeffrey Holmes (Dianna) and Nancy Slinkard; her sister-in-law Sandra Nikirk; and her grandchildren, Candi, Austin, Layne, Elizabeth, Jessica, Lauren and Garrett. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn be made to the White River Humane Society.
