It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Poole Taylor of Avon, Indiana, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Walden and Charlotte Walden (Staab); her former husband Joseph Poole; her husband Dale Taylor; and her siblings, Grover Walden, Violet Graham, James Walden, Richard Walden, Carolyn Dille and Neva Jean Craft.
She is survived by: her children, John Poole (Donna), Rita Shunk (Rick), Jean Watson (David) and Joseph Poole (Jennifer); and her stepchildren, Butch Taylor (Connie) and Kathy Woods (Glenn). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church (1005 W Main St, Danville, IN 46122). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (435 W Troy Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46217).
