He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron "Dutch" Joshua and Nellie Ann Brinkman (Hankins); his sister Jo Ann "Jody" Burket (Brinkman); and his granddaughter Jessica Smith (Engel). He is survived by: his children, Gary Brinkman (Tammy), Sherri Engel (Marty) and Cindy Wagner; his grandchildren, Megan Eakin (Zack), Chad Brinkman (Olivia), David Engel (Joralyn), Evan Wagner and Emily Alexander (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Clark Eakin, Colton Smith, Nora Eakin, Raiden Alexander, Claire Brinkman, Grant Eakin, Jaide Alexander, Isaac Brinkman and Heidi Brinkman; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Wilson Hill and Curt Wilson (Susan).
