She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Dierker and Margaret Dierker (Zurhorst); her husband William G. Banks; her son Brian W. Banks; and her siblings, Frances Sarff (Wayne), Robert Dierker (Hellon), Gerald Dierker and Wayne Dierker (Dorothy).
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Darlene Banks (Lane); and her grandson Andrew Banks. She is also survived by family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (801 S Green St, Brownsburg, IN 46112). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois, One Oakbrook Terrace Suite 501, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181, an organization that was very special to Marilyn because it blessed her with the opportunity of being a mother.
