With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn Joan Sander of Avon, Indiana, who passed away on September 30, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Fred W. Sander; her parents, Dewey Johnson and Mildred Johnson; and her sister Martha Pfotenhauer. She is survived by: her sons, James Sander (Linda) and Kurt Sander (Debbi). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Matthews Mortuary (690 E 56th St, Brownsburg, IN 46112). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
