He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald L. and Georgia M. (Coffey); his wife Sue Ann; his granddaughter Alexandria; and his brother Billy.
He is survived by: his significant other Melanie Lane of Columbus; his son Paul Michael (Kae); his sisters, Jacqueline Thackery (Russell) of Dade City and Patricia Wessel of Columbus; his grandchildren, Anthony "Andy" (Savannah) and Haruki Michael; his great grandchild Oliver Michael; and his aunt Erma Jean Thompson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or St. Jude Hospital through the funeral home.
