Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Shella Joanne Thompson of Avon, Indiana, born in Florala, Alabama, who passed away at the age of 87, on April 22, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Abner Belcher and Lillian Belcher (Graben); her husband George Harlan Thompson; her brothers, Gerald Ladon Belcher and Noah Rayford Belcher; her sons, Terry Lynn Thompson and George Craig Thompson; her grandson Joshua Thomas Thompson; and her great grandchild Kaylee Nicole Gilliland.

She is survived by : her son Steven Thompson; her daughters-in-law, Jennifer Thompson and Mary Thompson Rupp; her grandchildren, Shella Thompson, Tara Thompson, Jeremiah Thompson, Jennifer Thompson and Lexi Thompson; and her sisters, Maudine Clark (Teenie), Linda Barron (Jack) and Teenie.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Matthews Mortuary (690 E 56th St, Brownsburg, IN 46112). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
