He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Hammond and Mary Kathryn Hartley Hammond; his sisters, Dea Kathryn Hammond and Helen "Beatie" Snow; and his stepson Brad Mansinne.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Coleman Hammond; his sons, Mike Hammond, Joe Hammond (Julie) and Andrew Hammond (Jennifer); his stepdaughter Kari Mansinne Hutson; and his grandchildren, Zoe, Henry Hammond (Mike), Nick, Cole, Kate Hammond (Joe), Tate Dugan (Andrew), Spencer, Dylan, Parker Hutson (Kari), Taylor, Kollin and Kyler Mansinne (Brad).

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hall-Baker Funeral Home (339 E Main St, Plainfield, IN 46168). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
