He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecilia Karbowski and Peter Karbowski; his wife Joan Hermesch; and his siblings, James C. Karbowski, Helen Thielking, Blanche Goldsmith and Betty Stirn.

He is survived by : his sons, David P. Karbowski (Angie) of Greensburg, Thomas W. Karbowski (Jessica) of Batesville and Michael J. Karbowski (Susan) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his grandchildren, Heather, Lauren, Megan, Caroline, Jack and Katherine Karbowski; and his great grandchildren, Jade, Julien Lopez, Bella Karbowski, Ava, Amina and Kensington Lord.
