He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Collins and Clova Collins (Pigmon); his wife Alice Grossman; and his siblings, Galley Collins, Clara Buck, Raymond Collins and Vella Leidecker.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Collins (Mary), Steve Collins, Brenda Meyer (Kevin) and Tim Collins (Sandy); his grandchildren, Christopher Collins, Audrey Collins, Amanda Weaver, Justin Collins, Natalie Hicks and Bridget Collins; his siblings, Ernest Collins (Elizabeth), Eunice Bryant (Larry) and Phyllis Laker (Bobby); and his sister-in-law Cindy Collins. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Meyers Funeral Home (1150 IN-46, Batesville, IN 47006). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Baptist Church.
