We bid farewell to Michael Nelson Biltz of Batesville, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 16, 2025 at the age of 78. Michael touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson and Emma; his son-in-law Tom Habig; and his grandchildren, Luke Schwegman and Madeline Biltz.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Vankirk (Jim) of Batesville, Nancy Meer (Kip) of Batesville, Tracy Wafford (Kenny) of Batesville, Margie Schwegman of Batesville, Nick Biltz (Michelle) of Greensburg, Dan Biltz (Kristen) of Batesville and Ted Biltz (Klair) of Batesville; and his siblings, Margo Dietz (John) of Batesville, Ann Obermeyer (John) of Batesville and Dave Biltz (Karla) of Batesville. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home (151 W George St, Batesville, IN 47006). Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Church (3027 Pearl St, Oldenburg, IN 47036).
