She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bus" Chapman and Ethel Chapman (Brockett); and her son Sidney Scott Simmons. She is survived by: her son Greg Simmons (Theresa) of Batesville, IN; her sister Maxine Pemberton of Aiken; her grandchildren, Lee Simmons, Hannah Marinakes (John), Adam Springmeyer (Maureen) and Andrew Springmeyer (Kristen); and her great grandchildren, Liam, Helena Marinakes, Emmitt, Brooklyn and Lawrence Springmeyer.
