It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard H. Zins of Batesville, Indiana, who passed away on May 22, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard H. Zins to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Zins and Rosella Zins (Billman); his grandson Aiden Mehlbauer; and his sister Terry Richter. He is survived by: his wife Candice Zins; his children, Shavonne Mehlbauer (Gregory) of Metamora and Brett Zins (Emily) of Batesville; his siblings, Jerry Zins of Sunman, Ron Zins of Batesville, Ann Hoff of Brookville and Tom Zins of Sunman; and his grandchildren, Rhian, Mason Mehlbauer of Metamora, McKenzie and Briggs Zins of Batesville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 3:45 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home (151 W George St, Batesville, IN 47006). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Church (6461 E St Nicholas Dr, Sunman, IN 47041).
