He was predeceased by: his parents, William Krieg and Matilda Krieg (Bohner); his wife Carmen; and his great grandchild Ollie Loichinger. He is survived by: his children, Angel Grunkemeyer of Greensburg, Gary Krieg of Batesville, Connie Gunter (late Roger) of Batesville and Mark Krieg of Milford, Delaware; his grandchildren, Shannon Loichinger (Joe), Jenna Mills (Andrew), Erik Gunter, Ryan Grunkemeyer (Jocelyn) and Colton Laudick; his great grandchildren, Carter, Austin, Tate, Graham, Noah, Caleb, Brody and Jaxon; and his brother Kenneth Krieg.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Meyers Funeral Home (1150 IN-46, Batesville, IN 47006). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at 9995 E Base Rd, Greensburg, IN 47240.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Catholic Cemetery and may be brought to the services or mailed to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.
