With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylva Havens Jr. (Batesville, Indiana), who passed away on August 1, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sylva Havens Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylva and Ethelberta; his brother Millard Havens; and his sister-in-law Patti Havens. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Havens of Batesville, IN; his sons, Dennis Havens of Batavia, OH and Michael Havens of Cincinnati, OH; his siblings, Janet Reames of Blue Ash, OH, Karen Freeman (Dan) of Georgetown, OH, Peggy Landers of Tampa, FL, William Havens of Cincinnati, OH and Phillip Beard (Jenny); his sister-in-law Barb Havens; and his close friend Paul Brockman. He is also survived by four grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home (151 W George St, Batesville, IN 47006). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Church (3027 Pearl St, Oldenburg, IN 47036).
