He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Blackwell and Lucille Blackwell (Luttrell); and his sibling Shirley Sloan. He is survived by : his wife Ruthanne Blackwell of Bedford; his son Danny J. Blackwell (Shelly) of Mitchell; his grandchildren, Danny Joe Blackwell II (Jamie) of Denver, Zachary Blackwell of Naples, Taylor Blackwell (Elijah Frank) of Bedford, McKenzi Blackwell (Kyle) of Bloomington and Kennedy Abel of Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Daisy, Indie, Effie, Lottie and Wren; his brother Jay; his sister-in-law Janet Fiddler of Bedford; and his brothers, Leon Blackwell, Jack Blackwell and Bob Blackwell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
