He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper "Jack" Sipes and Lillian Sipes (Hamilton); and his siblings, Phyllis Brock and Norman Sipes. He is survived by: his wife Becky Stevens; his children, Daniel Sipes (Melissa), Diana Case, Kristina Sears (Rusty) and Kyle Lashlee (Jody); his grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Dylan, Tanner, Alex, Tevin, Dayson, Preston, Chase and Jackie; and his siblings, Pat Gilson and Bob Sipes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services or Phi Beta Psi Sorority in Bedford.
