He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hilderbrand and Alice "Maxine" Hilderbrand (Mikels); and his siblings, Nancy Meadows (Jerry) and Bernard Hilderbrand. He is survived by: his wife Rose McFadden of Bedford; his children, Deana Banks (Jimmy) of Bedford and Brad Hilderbrand (Barbara) of Seattle; his grandchildren, Morgan Bauer (Patrick) of Bedford, Riley Ridge (Ethan) of Bedford and J. R. Banks (Samantha) of Franklin; his great grandchildren, Annie Bauer of Bedford, Benny Banks of Franklin and Dallas Ridge of Bedford; his brother Ernie Hilderbrand (Maxine) of Mississippi; and his siblings-in-law, Gerri Hughes (Bobby), Gail Sears (Mike) and Noble McFadden (Lorrie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Day & Carter Mortuary (1133 Lincoln Ave, Bedford, IN 47421). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
