He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Callahan and Jane Callahan (Spinks); his wife Judy Callahan (Fox); and his brother Odie Callahan. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Callahan (Stacey) of Bedford and Jeff Callahan (Paige) of Bedford, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jordan Callahan (Kristen) of Westminster, Calvin Callahan (Rebekah) of Bedford, Brandt Callahan (Bailee) of Nashville, Whitt Callahan and Merritt Callahan; his great grandchild Hazel Callahan; and his siblings, Dean Callahan and Donna Sue Summers.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of John to Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services.
