She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiriam Jackson and Blanche Jackson (Lehman); her husband Robert W. Nikirk; her son Alan Nikirk; her grandchildren, Emily Nikirk and Michael Nikirk; her great grandchild Brodie Leiter; and her siblings, Patsy Oldham, Robert Jackson and Myra Maxwell.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Nikirk of Fort Wayne, Philip Nikirk (Marcia) of Anderson, Clara Shaw of Bloomfield and Sara Nikirk of Bedford. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
