He was predeceased by : his father Lowell Carmichael; and his siblings, Kimberly Harod and Chester Nelson. He is survived by : his mother Wilma Martin Jackson (David) of Bedford; his wife Lena Kast; his sister Meghan Carmichael of Bloomington; his children, Natasha LaPointe (Tristen) of Mitchell, Deriek Carmichael (Riley) of Solsberry and Evan Kast (Megan) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Makynlee, Ryan, Aidyn, Skyler, Sylus, Laneah, Mazie, Kyndall and Adalyn; his aunt Virginia; his uncle Don Harrison of Bedford; and his pet Lexie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Richard to the White River Humane Society or to the family.
