He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Lee Hankins (Davis) and David Cecil Hankins; his siblings, David C. Hankins, George Ora Hankins, Rose M. Hankins, Freda Jean Smith, Emma Lee McDole and Reba Jane Hankins; and his nephews, David Luther McDole and Paul Douglas McDole.
He is survived by: his children, Misty Hankins of Bennington, IN and Jason Hankins of Bennington, IN; his granddaughter Mackenzie Kidwell of Harrison, OH; and his sisters, Mable Carver of Rising Sun, IN, Susie Scarber of Rising Sun, IN and Helen Davies of Aurora, IN. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home (208 Ferry St, Vevay, IN 47043). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Interim Hospice.
