He was predeceased by: his parents, David Schindler and Irene Schindler (Affolder); and his siblings, William Schindler, Gary Schindler and Doris Foster.
He is survived by: his sibling's children, Davis Chaires (Jodi) of Monroe, Indiana, Brent Schindler (Jeri) of Monroe, Indiana, Jeffery Foster (Stephanie) of LaFontaine, Indiana, Michael Foster (Toni) of Warsaw, Indiana., Kathleen Hullinger (Curt) of North Manchester, Indiana and Jennifer Foster of North Manchester, Indiana; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Schindler of Monroe, Indiana.. He is also survived by six great-nieces, three great-nephews, one step great-nephew, one step great-niece, four great-great-nephews, and two great-great-nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Downing & Glancy Funeral Home (100 Washington St, Geneva, IN 46740). Viewing was held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the West Missionary Church (4295 W State Rd 218, Berne, IN 46711). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
