He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Christner and Esther Christner (Hoblet). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Archbold; his sons, Steve Christner (Laura) of Monroe, Mike Christner of Lakeland and Scott Christner (Sara) of Decatur, Indiana; his stepchildren, Brent Archbold (Danielle) of Bluffton, Indiana and Holly Gentry of Westfield, Indiana; his grandchildren, Dylan Christner (Deanna), Sydney Christner (Zach Webb), Aaron Christner, Austin Christner and Blake Christner; and his stepgrandchildren, EJ Archbold, Connor and Corbin Archbold.
Preferred memorials can be given to Adams County Cancer Coalition or Woodburn Christian Children's Home.
