He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his son David Smith Jr. of Indianapolis; his stepdaughters, Amy Deckard (Mark) of Bicknell and Angela Grigsby (Tim) of Westphalia; his granddaughters, Amanda Davidson of Freelandville and Chelsea Summers (Jason) of Bicknell; and his great grandchildren, Michael (Abby), Alison, Molly and Gunner. He is also survived by numerous relatives, friends.
