He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph E. VanMeter and Vera E. VanMeter (Jenkins); and his wife Katie Ann Beard. He is survived by: his sons, Bart A. Beard (Jamee) and Bradford W. Beard (Julie); his grandchildren, Ashlea E. Dunkerly (Caleb), Bradlea K. Miller (Trey), Patrick A. Beard and Justin R. Beard; his great grandchildren, Blake Dunkerly, Brynlea Dunkerly, Paxton Miller and Pieper Miller; and his close friend Bobbi Vandeventer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lester Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home Inc. - Bloomfield (421 S Seminary St, Bloomfield, IN 47424). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Grandview Cemetery.
