He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Gene and Sylvia Syfert. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Berndt; his daughters, Jessica Berndt and Christine Berndt (Andrew Aluko); and his brothers, Steve Syfert (Darci Busk) and Jon Syfert (Janet).
