He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerl Furr and Edna Furr (Haney) of Brownstown, IN; and his sister Jerri Martin of Bluffton, SC.. He is survived by: his wife Ann Furr (Spurgeon); his children, Steve Furr (Kelly) of San Antonio, TX, Lance Furr (Jamie) of Bloomington, IN, Lisa Reifinger (Jeff) of Westminster, CO, Carol Gillard (Paul) of Bloomington, IN, Kim Hendren (Mike Resener) of Carmel, IN and Rex Furr (Jackie) of Bloomington, IN; and his former wife Marjorie Ann Spurgeon of Brownstown, IN. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
