It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Marvin Smiley of Bloomington, Indiana, born in Barton, Maryland, who passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Smiley and Edna Pearl Smith Smiley; and his son Charles Ivan Smiley. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Wallace Abell Smiley; his daughters, Deanna George (Greg) of Ridgeley, WV and Michelle Mann of Cumberland, MD; his grandchildren, Nickolas, Chelsea, Derek and Victoria; and his siblings, Robert, Chester Smith, Mary Parsons and Lois Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
