He was predeceased by: his parents, Professor Charles L. and Hazeltene S. Parmenter; his sister Carolyn; and his son Leigh (Sara). He is survived by: his wife Pattie; his children, Tighe (Pamela) of St Augustine, FL and Kyle Landman (Douglas) of Grand Rapids, MI.; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Natalie, Maty and Will.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Charlie's name be made to the Indiana University Foundation or National Academy of Sciences Office of Development.
