It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles S. Parmenter of Bloomington, Indiana, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Professor Charles L. and Hazeltene S. Parmenter; his sister Carolyn; and his son Leigh (Sara). He is survived by: his wife Pattie; his children, Tighe (Pamela) of St Augustine, FL and Kyle Landman (Douglas) of Grand Rapids, MI.; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Natalie, Maty and Will.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Iu Chemistry Building, Harry G. Day Lecture Hall (800 E Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, IN 47405).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Charlie's name be made to the Indiana University Foundation or National Academy of Sciences Office of Development.
