He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bowlen and Elsie Bowlen (Kinser); and his siblings, Ruth Van Pelt, Betty McCullough, Bonnie Wever, Norma Baugh, Brenda White, Bill Bowlen, Mike Bowlen, James Bowlen and Don Bowlen.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Bowlen; his children, Kelly Callahan (Jon), AJ Bowlen (Marlo), Steven Shoulders (Debbie), Greg Shoulders and Mike Shoulders (Laura); his grandchildren, Bailey Callahan, Tiffany Beck (Derek), Macey Maier (Jared), Lexi Tapp (Justin), Chad Shoulders and Rendon Shoulders; his great grandchildren, Finley Beck, Paxden Beck, Avery Maier, Emmy Maier, Cooper Maier, Quaid Tapp and Briggs Tapp; and his grandchild Maivereen Bowlen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
