With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David G. Knapp (Bloomington, Indiana), who passed away on March 9, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Knapp and Edith Knapp; and his sister-in-law Betsy Wickes. He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Wickes Knapp; his daughters, Elizabeth and Adrienne; his pets, Rudy and Theo; his sister Ginny; his brother-in-law Lenny Owens; and his nieces and nephews, Jack, Julia, Nancy, Stephen, Lisa, Katie, Brandon, Maggie, Kevin, Anna, Andy, Michelle, Brad, Andrew, Courtney, Teresa, Matt, Samantha, Hilary, Justin, Caroline and Alex.
After retiring to Bloomington, IN, he volunteered with the Indiana University Chemistry Department, providing support to maximize the use of NMR instruments which he'd arranged to have donated to IU by Merck.
