He is survived by: his children, Samuel Claude and Erma Mignon Polley (Skirvin); his friends, Billy of Tennessee, Jack and Jason; his granddaughter Rosie; his wife Brenda Polley (McClung); his children, Matthew E. Polley and Minnie Vaught (Tom); the mother of his child Rita Polley (Hawkins); his grandchildren, Brandon Vaught, Rosetta Polley and Ada Polley; his sisters, Laura Hanlon (John), Debby Polley (Seattle) and Kim Eakins (Wayne); his siblings-in-law, Rory McGowan and Robert McClung (Janis); his nieces and nephews, Casey, Kelsey, Evan, Hillary, Austin, Michael and Kevin; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sam, Cora, Mae, Madison, Layla, Avery, Mila, June and Mason.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Little Union Baptist Church (3000 E 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47401).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
