He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Margaret Jean Bordner Welch and Ronald Curtis Welch; his close friend Sharon Welch (Goh); his wife Sharon Welch (Goh); his children, Audrey Jean Wray (Travis) of Bloomfield, IN and Quentin J David Welch of Bloomington, IN; his stepchildren, Melisa Goh (Robb Hill) of Silver Spring, MD and Andrew Goh of Charlotte, NC; his sister Rhonda Welch of Bloomington, IN; his grandsons, Matthew Wray and Ian Wray; his siblings-in-law, Shasta Rodenhauser (Eric) of Cincinnati, OH, Judy Kabitsch (Dick) of Naples, FL and Brady Ratliff (Glenda) of Naples, FL; the mother of his children Cynthia McCorkle; Melissa and Andy. He was also cherished by his family, band mates, friends, coworkers.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools, to support the Bloomington High School South Music Program.
