It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Richard Charles Lewis of Bloomington, Indiana, born in Polk, Nebraska, who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Charles and Lilac Fern Lewis (Rystrom); his siblings, June, Dwaine Lewis (Ev) and Glee Remboldt (Marion); his brother-in-law Paul Sommerfeld; and his son-in-law Dennis Sweat.
He is survived by: his wife June Lewis (Lowe) of Bloomington; his children, Steve Lewis (Mary Ann) of Shelbyville, KY, Debbie Sweat of Bloomington, Tim Lewis (Valerie) of Bloomington and Mike Lewis (Sherri) of Brandon, FL; his sisters, Leone Sommerfeld and Addie; and his brother-in-law Al Lybarger. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
