He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hays and Mabel Hays (Kinkead); his brothers, Hank and Larry Hays; his aunt Mary; and his uncle Al Pence.
He is survived by: his wife Leah Hays; his children, Michelle Lattimore (Ronnie), Matthew Hays (Laura), Yvette Hays Davis and Chip Hays; and his sisters, Marianne Rheinfrank (Jerry) and Jennie Lowe. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
