We are sad to announce that, on April 20, 2022, at the age of 101, Gertrude Clara Wathen of Bloomington, Indiana, born in Hermann, Missouri passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gertrude Clara Wathen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Rode and Alma Rode (Gaebler); her husband Everett Wathen; and her son Roy Wathen. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Lutgens (Bill), Beverly Reich (Mike), Barbara Sylvester and Mary Demshar (Scott); her siblings, Oscar Rode and S. M.; and her friend Tom Tarzian. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Catholic Masses said in Gertrude's memory.
