He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Johnson and Bessie Mae Johnson (Wampler); his wife Ruth Johnson; his great grandchild Evan Usrey; and his siblings, Willard Johnson, Bill Johnson, Russell Johnson, George Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Betty Johnson, Mabel Mood, Peggy Tate and Ann Rose Johnson.
He is survived by: his former wife Norma Ruth Followell; his children, Melanie J. Black (Robert) of Jefferson City, MO, Susan R. Johnson of Bloomington, IN and Gregory (Scott); his grandchildren, Michelle R. Usrey (Kevin), Adam Lane, Chafin Payne, Zachary Johnson (Kylie), Katelyn Johnson (Lee Anna), Cole Johnson, Ryan Black, Jimmy Black (Ashley), Eric Black (Brooke) and Will Black (Judy); and his sister-in-law Sue Followell. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
