James E. Gilliland Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Gilliland of Bloomington, Indiana, born in Monroe, Indiana, who passed away on May 3, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Roger and Lucille Gilliland (Young); his wife Doris Lucille Gilliland; and his granddaughter Natalie Bowlen. He is survived by: his children, Sherrie Bowlen (Richard) and Eddie Ray Gilliland (Linda); his grandchildren, Tarah Cromer (Phillip), Shaina Dixon (Doug), Jordan Gilliland (Kelsey), Alyssa Todd (Zach) and Katie Thompson (Matt); and his siblings, William Larry Gilliland (Betty) and Edna Lucille Gilliland. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church.
