He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Alling and Ruth Alling; his wife Sue; and his children, Cathy (Mike Brown), Jim (Annette Alling) and John (Lynn Alling). He was also cherished by his 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Catholic Center (1413 E 17th St, Bloomington, IN 47408). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
