She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Madison Rogers and Loretta Coleen Rogers (Gray); her husband James "Jim" White; and her siblings, Leonard Rogers, Elwin Rogers, Russell "Bud" Rogers, Gerald Rogers, Lucille Meadows, Helen Rogers, Alta Mae Souders, Melvina Allen, Dorothy Shelton and Ruth Hunter.
She is survived by: her children, Mona Huys (Alan) and Mike White (Susie); her grandchildren, Grant Gibson, Brandon White, Sarah Kasprzycki (Richie), James "Jamie" White and Dustin White (Jen); her great grandchildren, Melanie Arthur (Caleb), Dillan White, Whitney White, Amber Shockey White, Elizabeth White, Haley White, Kolin White, Micah White, Madalyn White, Michael Kasprzycki, Charlie Kasprzycki, Wilson Kasprzycki, Jeannie Kasprzycki and Ezra Gibson; and her great great grandchildren, Jackson and Everette Arthur.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home and Crematory (4155 S Old State Rd 37, Bloomington, IN 47401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 2:15 PM at the Valhalla Memory Gardens (310 N Johnson Ave, Bloomington, IN 47401).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan's honor to the Smithville Area Association or The Smithville Food Pantry.
