He was predeceased by: his parents, William Whaley and Waneta Whaley (Faulk); his wife Janet Whaley (Martin); and his siblings, Harold "Bob" Whaley, Darold Whaley, Paul Whaley, Janet Sue Watkins, Leroy Whaley, Ola Underwood, Nancy Sheets and Grover Walters.
He is survived by: his siblings, Helen Sims, Jim Whaley, Martha Mathews, Donnie Whaley, Darlene Keller and Ramona Peoples. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to IU Health Hospice House, 2810 S. Deborah Drive, Bloomington, IN 47403, in Dude's memory.
