It is with sadness that the passing of Joseph Novak (Bloomington, Indiana) is shared. Joseph, born on April 19, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on July 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Joseph will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Joseph by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Joseph is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Joseph’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen Magyar Novak and Joseph E Novak; his wife Carole Lynne Novak (Hinkel); his sister Loretta Steinfurth; his sons, David (Kathryn) and Jeremy (Erienne); and his grandchildren, Adele, Adrianna, Olivia and Lucinda.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that if you would like to contribute positively in Joe's name, please consider your local food bank as Joe and Carole were contributors to their local food banks in order to help those less fortunate, or a local Boys and Girls Club as Joe believed whole-heartedly in activity and sports as a guiding factor in young person's lives.
