She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur T. Hendrix and Judy Hendrix (Ragle); her husband Joe; her sisters, Nancy Jones and Suzy Rechter; and her brother-in-law Rick Rechter.
She is survived by: her children, Susan James (Marty) of Solsberry and Gary Wood (Stacy) of Avon; her grandchildren, Avery Johnson (Eric) of Bloomfield, Austin James, Eli James of Walden, CO and Luke James of Solsberry; her great grandchild Ava Johnson; and her brother-in-law Robert Jones.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. Paul United Methodist Church (4201 W 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47403). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Teacher's Warehouse or VFW Auxiliary Dorothy's Kid's Fund, 2404 W. Industrial Park Drive, Bloomington, IN 47404.
