He was predeceased by: his sister Sylvia Gormley; his son-in-law Dennis Jones; and his parents, Vernon William Sparks and Shirley Hammontree Sparks. He is survived by: his wife Malissa Lovell Sparks; his daughters, Malissa Lux (Ed), Stephanie Jones and Angela Philpott (Tim); his grandchildren, Joshua Roberts, Jason Swanson (Anne), Margaret Philpott, Abigail "Maddie" Jones, Andrew Philpott, Matthew Lux, Clive Roberts, Audrey Roberts, Rylie Swanson and Morgan Swanson; and his siblings, Marilyn Parrish (Tim), Daniel Sparks and David Sparks (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
