He is survived by: his children, Ladonna Covey (Nathan) and Lydell Newell (Patricia); his sister Betty Garten; and his grandchildren, Melissa Morgan (Chris), Amanda Williamson (Brett), Katherine Nicholson, Rebecca Covey and Dustin Newell (Kara). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
